Went to my regular doctor. He is great to have, since he has been my doctor since 1998 and have a great overview over my medical history. I don't have to explain so much to him, he already knows.
It turns out there is only ONE colo-rectal surgeon in our area, and he happens to be part of my doctor's medical group. So now I have his business card in case I would ever need him. And I know which hospital to go to if I have problems, which is important, since this doctor only works out of Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
So I feel a little better knowing this, even if he is not a specialist on J-pouches, but at least a surgeon specializing in colo-rectal surgery... Close enough!
The doctor agree that I most likely have a nasty intestinal infection, so I have now two types of antibiotics to hopefully knock this thing out. I really do not like antibiotics since they do a lot of harm as well. Yeast infections, anyone? But if you have to, you have to...
Oh well. Just wish it would not be so painful... I got lots of work this week to get my mind off it, so that is good. No more patients to relax, had enough of that for now! :-)
