Today was very exciting, Sarah started Third Grade in a new school!

She wanted me to just drop her off and not walk her in. That would be too embarrassing! :-)

Work as usual today. A guy is coming to most likely install a new thermostat this afternoon. Ours have been acting up these past few days. It is set to keep a certain temperature, but it does not turn off after reaching the desired temperature, it keeps cooling and cooling so you manually have to turn it off. I am pretty sure it is the thermostat that is messed up. Of course, today it is working perfectly, but it was messed up all weekend, so I am just going to have them replace it.

Then I am having a guy come to give me a quote to have the counter top and sink replaced in the guest bath. I will replace the faucet myself, Ken can install it since he used to work as a plumber in his 20s. I am going to replace the counters and all that in the master bath and kitchen later, I will have him give me a quote for those as well. But the guest bath is a good start. I do not want granite since it is porous and has to be sealed at least once a year, I am going with quartz, which is similar to granite in looks, but does not require sealing.

I figured since I have been working so hard I deserve to treat myself to a nice new bathroom counter, it is needed for sure anyway...
