I let Sarah stay home today, it would have been her last day of camp, but she had a really sore throat last night and sounded bad this morning, so just to be on the safe side. I am sure she is fine.
Tomorrow Sarah and I are going to the Museum of Science and Industry, MOSI, in Tampa. They have lots of cool stuff to do there. Afterwards we are going by IKEA for some needed Swedish stuff, a little bite to eat and just to get Swede-ified in general... We both love IKEA, so it is a given.
On Sunday Ken and Sarah are going ice skating. I think I will most likely have a little work left, so I will do that while they are away.
Tomorrow when we are away Ken is going to work on the new house, mostly on the yard and the two sheds in the back. Whoever had lived there left the house full of stuff, and all of it was put away in those two sheds. When I looked there were everything from kitchen plates to a TV and vacuum cleaner in there. There might be a lot we can donate to the local Goodwill store.
We need the sheds emptied to prevent animals from living in there, as well as someplace to store yard machines.
On Sunday afternoon we might work on it a little together.
Next week I have a plumber coming to fix a few things, and on Wednesday the pest exterminator is coming to spray the house. We are also getting a quote from a guy on Saturday to put crushed oyster shell in the drive way (more commonly used here than small stones like in Sweden).
The general contractor will be by next week to get started in the windows and a few other things before tackling the master bedroom and the floors.
I will most likely paint a few of the rooms, we will see.
Then when those things are done I will order the appliances and we should be good to go for renting it out.
Now, back to work...

MOSI låter jättekul, här heter motsvarande sorts museum OMSI. Det tog rätt länge innan jag fattade var folk pratade om när de sa de varit till OMSI. Amerikaner gillar ju överlag förkortningar för allting, inte helt lätt alltid hänga med...
Låter som en bra helg, IKEA är ju alltid roligt. Vi fick faktiskt ny Ikea-katalog med posten alldeles nyligen.
Jag fick min katalog förra veckan, jag tror det är därför det kliar så i fingrarna att få åka förbi!
Spannande med huset. Det kommer som sagt att bli kanonfint. Lustigt att de gammla agarna hade lamnat ALLT i de sma uthusen. Men ni kan som sagt ge bort det eller kolla om det nagot som ser ok ut som man kan anvanda. Later som en harlig helg med lite av varje. Hopppas att Sarah mar battre tills imorgon och att ni far en riktigt trevlig dag ihop.

Jag var här och läste om eländet sent i går kväll, det är inte klokt vad ni har fått gå igenom. Och stackars Sarah och Ken, som du sa. Det måste vara väldigt trist för dem. Verkligen inte ett bra inflytande för Sarah. Skönt att ni nu är av med dem!
Jag tror det blir bra med huset, det verkar jättefint och kan ni få bra hyresgäster blir det ju bara en bonus att få in lite pengar varje månad på så sätt. Skönt nu att kunna ta det lite lugnare med renoveringen också!
Hur funkar crushed oyster shells? Blir det som grus?

Ja skalen från snäckorna är precis som grus. Det är samma när man gräver här i Florida, man ser inte småstenar utan småsnäckor överallt. Hela Florida är ju en gammal sandbank i princip...
